The State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) has on 6th August 2021 signed a memorandum of understanding with the Good Neighbors Tanzania of Zanzibar Area Office to join forces on the operationalization of Secondary School Education Support including e-learning content. The event took place at Marumaru Hotel in Stone Town.
Dr. Ali Makame Ussi, the SUZA Acting Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academics, Research and Consultancy signed the agreement while Dr. Min Cheol Park, Managing Director of the Good Neighbors Tanzania Zanzibar Area Office represented his Organization. The occasion was also witnessed by Dr. Hashim Hamza Chande, the Acting Dean School of Agriculture and Head of the Centre for Digital Learning, and Mrs. Mwajuma Sungura Makame, the Senior Legal Officer, and other officials from Good Neighbors Tanzania.
The parties shall work together in a complementary and collaborative manner with a view of developing various educational content and materials to meet and complement the objective of the National Education Policy, expand education change, strengthen the capacity of human resources including secondary school teachers, improve education environment and enhance cooperation on the planning and production of educational contents for media.
The memorandum of understanding becomes effective on the day it is signed and remains valid for five years.
