SUZA and Ankara University sign partnership agreement
A cooperation protocol was signed between Ankara University and the State University of Zanzibar from the Unjted Republic of Tanzania regarding the grant of various dental treatment units.
Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry, has recently moved to its new building equipped with technological devices, provides equipment support by donating dental treatment units to State University of Zanzibar in a course of imolementing academic cooperation between the two Universities.
In this context, a cooperation protocol was prepared between Ankara University and the State University of Zanzibar.
Protocol signing ceremony was held at the Rectorate Senate Hall. The event was officiated by the Ankara University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar, the Vice Rector, Prof., Dean of Faculty of Dentistry Prof. Dr. Kaan Orhan and faculty members and Vice Chancellor of the State University of Zanzibar Prof. Dr. Moh’d Makame Haji, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry and other directors, as well as guests from Muhimbili University from United Republic of Tanzania. The ceremony was attended by Turkey’s Ambassador to Tamzania, Dr. Mehmet Güllüoğlu who joined online from Dar es Salaam.
Ambassador Güllüoğlu stated that they are making efforts to improve bilateral relations between Turkey and Tanzania and expressed his special thanks for this cooperation.
Emphasizing that they are ready to develop bilateral cooperation in every field and that health is one of their special areas, Güllüoğlu said, “This cooperation of our institutions is very valuable for us.”
Rector Ünüvar also reminded about their visit to Tanzania in the past months and stated that they saw a great affection towards Turkey in Tanzania and that they were very pleased with this.
Noting that with the protocol to be signed, grant dental treatment units will be sent to State University of Zanzibar, Ünüvar said, “At the same time, we are extending our Erasmus program. Our relations with Tanzania are very good. We see the great support of our Ambassador in this regard”.
Zanzibar State University Vice Chancellor Prof. Haji forwarded the appreciation to the government of Turkey and the Ankara University in particular for the cooperation. Vice Chancellor expressed his belief that this cooperation will further the good relationship between Turkey and Tanzania. He further commend the collaboration ro other disxiples whenever there is opportunity to do so.
