Invitation for Tender

Date: 7th September, 2018

1. The State University of Zanzibar has received fundsfrom TURKU University Finland. It is intended that part of the fund will be used to cover eligible payments under the contract for procurement and supplies of brand new GEO-ICT Lab Equipment.

2. The State University of Zanzibar now invites sealed tenders from eligible and qualified                                                bidders for supplies of GEO- ICT Lab equipment as described below:

3. Tendering will be conducted through National competitive procedures specified in the Public Procurement (Goods, Works and Disposal of Public Asset) Act of 2016.

4. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tender document at the Office of the Secretary of the Tender Board in the Procurement & Disposal Management Unit (PDMU), TRASLED Building at Tunguu, P. O Box 146, Zanzibar  from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm  from Mondays to Fridays except  public holidaysand weekends or through email: pmu@suza.ac.tz.  

5. A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzania shillings One HundredThousandonly (Tsh. 100,000).Payment should be made through the Peoples’ Bank of Zanzibar Ltd, The State University of Zanzibar Account No: 021103000490.

6. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender security in an acceptable format in amount of 1,000,000.00 in TZS or equivalent in freely convertible currencies in case of foreign Tenderers.

7. All tenders in one original plus two copies, properly filled in and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address below The Secretary of the Tender Board, Procurement & Disposal Management Unit (PDMU) office, TRASLED Building, Tunguu.  P. O. Box 146 Zanzibar on or before 2nd October, 2018, 10.30 am. Tender will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the State University of Zanzibar in TUNGUU CAMPUS.

8. Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
